Jackson Hole & Wild By Nature

Jake and I have often gone to Jackson Hole together, it's actually where he proposed to me. On our many trips there we walk the main street and just window show and talk about whatever is going on at that time. There is one shop that we walk by that I always like to peek into. Its a little photography gallery. It is called "The Wild By Nature Gallery", it ran by a photographer called Henry H. Holdsworth. He is very talented, he is a wildlife bioligist who is also a photographer. His work has been featured in National Geographic and in the Smithsonian. Most of his photos are taken RIGHT HERE in the area that Jake and I live. He does a wonderful job of capturing the beauty in all four season, and an even better job of capturing the majesty of some of the creatures we are blessed to live among. I'm going to try to talk Jake into getting one of his photography books. Be sure to check out his website also at wildbynatureshop.com (I would post some of his pics here, but I think it's better that everyone just look at HIS website).

Now, back to Jackson Hole, Teton Valley, and the rest of the Greater Yellowstone area. I love it here. I've been coming to this area since I was really young an my parents were taking my sisters and I on family vacations to Yellowstone. This is one of my favorite places on earth and I am so happy we live here. People complain about the long winters and how far we are from the city and blah blah blah, but the reality is we are pretty lucky. How many people get to live in such beauty all the time! Jake doesn't know it, but I would be happy if we lived here for a long time and I would consider myself very lucky if we had the opportunity. Below are some pics of the area, including Jackson Hole, where Jake proposed.

Jackson Hole, WY (Jake and I ate dinner at the Cadillac Restaurant the night we got engaged, its the place with the Red sign above)Rexburg, ID (where we actually live)

The Teton Valley (where I drag Jake to go camping)

Yellowstone (Where Jake and I spend A LOT of time in the Summer)

I LOVE where we live. I couldn't think of many places that are better, people always overlook the area but I'm pretty sure they just don't know what they are missing. I look forward to this summer and the many adventures we will have here then and in the years to follow.

  1. Mishelle,
I tell Mike all the time that I wish we lived somewhere beautiful.
Maybe we can move by you and Jake someday.
I've been to Jackson Hole when I was young and loved it.
We used to go to Yellowstone as well.
That's fun you grew up going there.
    It really is beautiful.
