13 Days!

13 Days,People! 13 Days!

Jakers and I get married in 13 short days! So much to do till then... Finals, go to the temple (only in 2 days!), pack up our old apartments (plural), move everything to our new apartment (oh yeah, that's singular), and still get a few last minute things done before the big day! Jake and I are feeling a little slammed to get everything done, a little nervous too, and a whole lotta excited!

This should be pretty cool.

Don't Choke

Jake needs to learn to read me better...
So, last weekend Jake and I went out to dinner with our friends Nathan and Bre. It started out just like any other double date filled with fun, excitement, and engaging conversation... but disaster was lurking at Craigo's that night...
Bre was asking Jake what he wanted to do with his business degree and Jake was discussing the possibility of one day owning his own business. During this conversation a bit of pasta became lodged in my throat. Breathing stopped. Not Cool.

The conversation then went as follows:

(Mishelle starts to choke)

Jake: I don't know I have thought about maybe one day starting my own business.

(Mishelle is choking)

Bre: Oh! Really? Like a pet shop?

(still choking)

Jake: (Looking at Mishelle) Oh, Look at her, her face is lit up! Mishelle would love a pet store..

(still choking)

Nathan: You okay, Mishelle?

(Mishelle starts pointing at throat, turning colors now)

Jake: She's fine.

Bre: You sure? Mishelle?

Jake: Hon, what's up?

(Still pointing at throat, still choking)

Nathan: I think she's choking!

Jake: Are you choking?

(Mishelle gives Jake dirty look, still choking, writing her last will and testament)

Eventually, Jake figured it out and gave me some of his soda. I survived... barely. But lesson learned. From now on if I am choking in a restaraunt I will turn to the bus boy for help.

Wedding Cake

I'm glad I'm marrying a guy who has the same attitude towards wedding plans as I... Just get em' done! A few weeks ago we were down in Salt Lake City to meet with the wedding folks. I think we surprised them.. They told us we would be there for hours!!! I think we lasted an entire 45 minutes. That's right - guest book, cake, colors, and all that other junk done in under an hour. We are wedding planning machines.

Oh, and check it out - this is the cake we ended up going with. I think it's pretty nifty.

So.. Got some news...

You may notice that the title of my blog has changed. Jake has been added to this shin dig... Why? Well, I'll tell you! We are engaged! It happened on December 4, 2009. We are to be hitched on April 12, 2010 in Salt Lake City. Kinda cool, eh?

Not too shabby, not too shabby at all.

But yeah, we are both very excited and cannot wait for the big day. After the wedding we are planning to honeymoon on a cruise to the Bahamas. That'll be super neat.
