So, where I work we're rewarded with points for each call we take. Recently I had enough points to win a Kindle E-reader. Basically, it's an electronic book reader. I have been having a lot of fun with it though and it will be perfect for me while at work, on a long drive (if I'm not driving of course), or even when I'm just relaxing and I've already had my fill of 7 hours of TV for the day :p.
I love the Kindle because I can read it in daylight, the battery lasts up to a month on one charge, I can browse the web, buy books and games from Amazon directly and listen to music on it all at the same time if I want to. The ONLY downside is that I'll have to get a light clamp for night reading. But this is my new favorite toy.

Jakey, I'm glad you are happy with your new toy. It's nice to win something or be appreciated for the hard work you do. Be lucky you have an employer who knows how to 'take care of you' with the little things that mean a lot. Say hi to Shell and Sammy and have fun moving :) What are you reading now? I'm sure I've already read it!!!
ReplyDeleteJake,
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you won a Kindle so you can do even more reading.
What do you have lined up? Do you know how many books it can hold?
I love my Ipad. I still prefer a real book, but I love that I have a new book at my reach at any time. I can tell my mind is having to adjust and be more organized in remembering where important parts are in the book on the Ipad. It's easier to find what I want to remember in an actual book, but I still love it. I've read 21 books on it so far.
I read a funny one a few weeks ago called 101 Things Not To Do Before You Die. The title alone had me at once.
I just finished The Science Of Kissing, too. I went to the library yesterday and hit a gold mine. I came out with 8 books that look fascinating.
I took them all to bed with me and told your Dad I wanted to finish them that night. Then I laid in bed hugging my books and Erin Leigh told me I was ridiculous. She was laughing, so it was ok.
Anyway, let me know what you're reading. I'm always interested.
